OgdenUnited States
Christian-majority but rapidly secularizing — large evangelical (~25%), Catholic (~21%), and growing "nones" (~28%); LDS heartland in the Mountain West, Black Protestant traditions in the South, growing Muslim and Hindu populations in cities.
Localized version for English
Ogden is more religiously mixed than the rest of the Wasatch Front. Weber State University, the railroad history, and the more working-class character of the city mean the LDS share is lower than in Provo or Orem, and there is a more visible secular and ex-Mormon population. The leaving experience in Ogden tends to fall somewhere between Salt Lake City’s relatively mature ex-Mormon scene and Provo’s more all-encompassing LDS environment.
Elder X has been through the religious exit himself — the family rupture, the guilt that would not stop, the psych wards, the isolation of being the person nobody in your family understands anymore. If you are in Ogden and that description lands, reach out. Not therapy. Personal advice from someone who made it to the other side.
