Lodwar has a layered Christian religious life where Catholic, evangelical, and Pentecostal traditions all have visible presence, and each produces its own kind of person who leaves. The wider Kenya religious landscape: Strongly Christian (~85%, mostly Protestant and Catholic with very large Pentecostal scene) and a Muslim coastal and northeastern minority (~11%).
